· Describe the firing process
· Explain the reloading process
· Explain why people reload
· Name and explain the fundamental safety rules for reloading
LESSON II - (1 hr)
Venue - Classroom
Center-fire Cartridge Components
· Give the proper nomenclature for shotgun shell components:
o Cases (hulls)
o Primers
o Powder
o Wads, and
o Bullets
· State and explain the proper handling and storage procedures for shotgun shell components
LESSON III - Using the Reloading Manual and Reloading Data (1 hr)
Venue - Classroom
Center-fire Cartridge Components
· Select a suitable load for a particular shotgun shell from a reloading manual
· Identify useful ballistics information for shotgun shell in reloading manuals
LESSON IV - (1 hr)
Venue - Classroom
The Metallic Cartridge Reloading Equipment
· Identify the equipment necessary to reload shotgun shell
· Explain the proper operation and maintenance or reloading equipment
· Explain the requirements for a basic reloading bench
LESSON V - (1 hr)
